Looking for a challenging and rewarding role in FinTech? Qomply is hiring a Senior Python Developer! Join our dynamic team to design and implement cutting-edge solutions for financial institutions, helping them comply with complex regulatory reporting requirements. We serve a diverse client base, from large tier-one banks to niche firms, using the latest analytics and technology.

Responsibilities include developing end-to-end applications in Python, interpreting business use-cases, leading design discussions, and maintaining high-quality standards. You'll also mentor junior developers and work with cloud-based infrastructures, primarily AWS.

The successful candidate will join a fast-paced, dynamic team environment, building commercial products central to the business.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing end-to-end applications in Python, with an emphasis on efficiently writing functions for large datasets.
• Interpreting and analysing business use-cases and feature requests, translating them into technical designs and development tasks.
• Actively leading architecture and design discussions, putting forward ideas and technical approaches.
• Maintaining a high standard of quality in your work.
• Adhering to quality standards, including unit tests, integration tests, and documented code.
• Coaching and mentoring other developers.
• Demonstrating technical capacity in understanding deliveries and dependencies.

What You Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience Computer Science and Software Engineering: Strong software development experience
• Minimum 5 years' experience in developing applications using Python
• Linux/Unix, Git, SQL, large datasets
• Test frameworks
• Agile and XP (Scrum, Kanban, TDD)
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructures, preferably with AWS
• Exceptional software design skills and vision
• Delivery-focused, passionate about technology, and open to new ideas and approaches

• Demonstrable ability to work in a team environment and under pressurised timelines
• Keen desire to work in finance or FinTech
• Excellent attention to detail and someone who looks to improve processes where relevant
• Ability to sustain a high level of drive, maintain enthusiasm and a positive attitude
